If Sebastian could he would sigh, his body taps into the right instincts when Jim’s arm wraps around him. His muscles jump but he settles into the touch, letting his body weight rest on Jim as he curls around the other man protectively. Arms and legs curled around him, as if he himself were made of kevlar.
This man. This….creature who nestled against him. Sebastian shivered. Seeing that monster behind Jim’s eyes. Terrible. He squeezed the man in his arms and finally managed a ragged, broken exhale.
Jim sighed quietly, closing his eyes and calming his breathing in an attempt to calm Sebastian’s racing heart down. It was critical that the sniper remain calm, keep his emotions in check, because otherwise it risked ruining his shot. And Sebastian never missed.
“Do you sleep better in your own bed?” Jim asked him quietly, wondering if that was part of the problem. Even if there had been evidence that Seb had slept here in his absence too.
